Your Voice

How I long to hear Your gentle call that awakens my heart. Nothing stirs and empowers like the sound of Your voice. It is as the sound of many waters – rich, full, powerful, commanding. It is like the cooing of a dove – gentle, loving, entreating. 

You know what my heart needs to hear. You speak and the veil is torn. Your words contain light and love. As You speak, I see more clearly, and I am moved deeply to run and embrace all that You have for me.

So speak Lord. Stir my heart with Your words. Correct my insight and understanding. You are Truth, and when You speak Your words fill my soul. At the sound of Your voice, I come alive with the awareness of You.
