My Robe

Delight My heart – trust in the righteousness I gave you. It is a robe of exquisite design, fashioned in the courts of heaven. This robe purchased by blood is freely given to all who look to Me. It rests light upon your shoulders; it drapes you in love and mercy; it provides hope, and the joy of My presence.

You cannot earn such a thing. Your own attempts at perfection are as filthy rags in My presence. How it grieves My heart when you toss such a robe aside and wear your own garments. In pride, you walk into My presence, trusting in your own works rather than My gift. You seek to please yet fail to realize the grief and sadness My heart feels when you do not receive and wear My gift.

I hung naked, exposed, covered only by the guilt and shame of your sin. I took its penalty and paid what was justly due. I paid for the robe – the wedding garments to cover My Bride. I saw her naked, ashamed, and alone. Yet I had called her to stand beside Me in purity and joy.

My life paid for her freedom. My life paid for her righteousness – the garment of holiness that she could wear before the courts of heaven. There My robe is esteemed. There the beauty and exquisite design of Father God is seen and celebrated. Together we planned and fashioned the robe that would cover My Bride.

So, wear it well. This robe of righteousness has been made for you. Stand clothed in its beauty and do not succumb to the lie, that it is not for you. It is blood bought and freely given.
