A Call to Prayer
Every fresh move of the Spirit of God is always preceded by a call to prayer. It is through prayer that we align our hearts with heaven and release His kingdom in the earth. We have been called to co-labour with Christ and often this labouring involves time in prayer.
It is prayer that positions us to hear the voice of God. This is much needed in times of transition. It is not just the answers that are received, but the sensitivity that is gained, that enables us to walk forward into God’s purposes.
There is the sweet fellowship of prayer that we are all called to enjoy. There are also realms of intercession and supplication that we are called to enter. This is where we bring the needs of man before the throne of God. Prayer is part of our privilege as priests. We must know in this hour how to take the weights and concerns of our own lives, and the lives of others, before the throne of God.
There is another form of prayer that God is releasing over His body at this time. It is Breakthrough Prayer. This is where we are no longer praying to God, but God is praying through us. Breakthrough Prayer is the Spirit of God praying through us to bring a divine shift into the affairs of this life. It is powerful. It carries a militant edge and moves forces that are in opposition to the kingdom of God.
I encourage you to recognise the call to prayer and to take this to a deeper level in your life. We serve a God who answers prayer. He longs for His people to call on His name that His will might be seen in the earth.
