To start my day with You – what joy. To know the peace of Your presence, before the demands of the day, anchors my heart in You.

Here alone in the company of Love, I am wrapped in Your goodness. My heart stirs and awakens to the soft hues of Your Presence. Like gentle rain on hard ground, Your love softens, restores and brings forth life. I come alive in the Presence of Life.

I will not trade this time for sleep, nor late night exploits. My heart finds its home in the sweet delight of Your love. I feel held and secure before I face the day. I know You are with me. Your gentle love has soaked my soul and I am ready to diffuse Your love, to do Your work and to speak Your heart into everything this day holds.

Regardless of what this day brings, my heart has been anchored in You. Whether calm or storm, my heart and my life is held by the deep abiding Presence of the One I love. You hold my very breath in the embrace of Your love. Your shadow permeates my day and lights my path.
