Significant
Our life is significant. It does not matter whether we are a street cleaner or a company director, whether we are at home raising kids or battling a disease. Our life has purpose and meaning, and that purpose is to walk with God.
We live with the concept that there is some grand thing we must do before we die. True, we are made for a purpose and our heart longs to leave a legacy. A life well lived however, is a life lived with Him. Out of intimacy flows destiny. To think we are here simply to do something for God, is to live with the mentality of a servant, not a son.
A son wants to be like his father and to do the things his Daddy does. A son takes delight in pleasing his Dad and needs only his father’s approval to know that his world is ok. This is the lifestyle all believers are called to enjoy - to live knowing we are loved and accepted. Out of that confidence comes actions that reveal who we are, and more importantly, who He is.
Too often we assume we haven’t found our purpose in life or have failed to do what we are called to do. We need to remember that we’re called to walk with God, not work for Him. What we do is to flow out of relationship with Papa God. Then lives are touched, and we will be blessed, for we have laboured together with Him.
