Go Again

One of the hardest things we can do is go again. To get up after we have fallen down and give it one more go. Or to go to someone we have hurt and say, “I'm sorry.” It is so much easier to find an exit or an excuse.

To go again is to refuse to believe the lies that try to define us. To go again is to trust that God’s promises are sure, and that breakthrough can be ours. So much of life has taught us to opt for the quick fix or the easiest path. We long for solutions rather than growth; for ease, rather than progress.

Within our hearts however is a call we cannot ignore. It was placed there by a loving Father, the day He called our name. It is a call to go again, believe for more, reach for better. It is a call for transformation and growth. Romans 8 calls it the groaning within. It is the call for something that is not yet seen. The longing for transformation into the image of Christ and our manifestation as the sons of God.

What a high calling. No wonder we groan within ourselves. We know our weakness; we see our failures, yet we long for something only God can produce. So, wherever you are at, whatever you are dealing with, your future is so much brighter than your past. The God of all hope has put something rich and powerful within your heart and it will not disappoint.

If you fall down, then don't stay down. If you fail, then go again. Refuse to believe the lies that limit you to who you once were. Go through the barriers that define who you are. Now is the time to rise up and go again.
