Faith

Faith is the ability to see things, not as they are, but as they can be. Faith sees beyond the horizon and envisions a better future; a dream fulfilled; a need met; an answer realised. It is faith that keeps us trudging up the hill, peering around the next bend and believing that what is coming is better than what is. 

Such faith is anchored in the knowledge that God is a good God. And furthermore, that He is not only a good God, but He is also Papa God. He is the One who has planned the path, made the preparations and knows what we can handle. 

Faith does not rest in our ability or rely upon our sight or understanding. Faith looks up when circumstances call us to look down. Faith sees when pain and confusion blinds us and makes the next step a leap into the unknown. 

It is such faith that pleases God, because it reveals the heart of the one that holds it. Such faith is only grown in a heart of love. It trusts when it cannot see, walks when it would rather hide and keeps on singing when it has forgotten the tune.

So keep singing, keep walking and keep believing, for faith brings answers, opens doors and heralds in a new day.
